I am also enrolled for Honors in chemistry and have progressed a lot through Khan academy’s AP Chemistry as well as the complete Edgenuity chemistry course. I studied the composition, properties, changes, and interactions of matter. I have done virtual laboratory experiments that encourage higher-order thinking applications. The components of these courses include the composition and properties of matter, changes and interactions of matter, organic chemistry, and nuclear chemistry.
I did the following chapters in this course: Matter, Atoms and the Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Acids and Bases, Organic Chemistry, and Nuclear Chemistry.

I’ve learned a lot about chemistry and its application in everyday life. I got a new sense of how atoms and molecules interact with each other and how to express all the chemical reactions through complex and interesting formulas. I also enjoyed the lessons and Virtual Labs of Edgenuity as they allowed me to imagine a real-life chemistry lab set-up without the danger of having to deal with dangerous chemicals at home. Experiments had thus been carried out safely. I have moreover learnt about petrochemicals with classes at Les Etincelles and real life demonstrations of the chemical processes involved in making plastic and other pretoleum based materials. Moreover, we also experimented with perfumes and states of matter at Les Etincelles.
